About TrueHelp
From Service to Struggle to Freedom
Robert Lance is the founder of TrueHelp US, and his story begins with both service and struggle. As a U.S. veteran, Robert carried the discipline he learned in the military into civilian life. He got married, started a family, built a business, and worked hard to provide for his wife and two daughters. But like so many Americans, life threw him curveballs that hard work alone couldn’t protect against.
Medical bills, car repairs, and other emergencies forced Robert to lean on credit cards to cover everyday costs. What started as a safety net quickly became a trap. No matter how faithfully he paid—minimum payments, sometimes more—his balances never seemed to shrink. The interest and fees only piled on, and each month his credit score sank lower. He began to realize that the system was built to keep people like him paying forever, not to help them get ahead.
Then came COVID. As a small business owner, Robert faced the fear of losing everything. To protect his family, he refinanced his home and used $48,000 to pay down his credit cards, hoping the move would create breathing room if work dried up. Instead, every one of his credit card companies slashed his credit limits down to the exact amount he still owed. Overnight, his utilization rate jumped from 38% to 98%—and his credit score took a beating. It was a devastating blow that left Robert feeling cheated for doing the “responsible” thing.
Still, he never missed a payment. Robert had always believed in paying what he owed and took pride in meeting his obligations. But beneath that pride was shame—the kind that made him dread opening his bank account or even looking at his balances. For years, he tried to work with the credit card companies, asking for lower fees or better terms, but nothing changed. The truth became clear: the financial system was never designed to help him succeed. It was designed to keep him stuck.
Robert refused to accept that. Through years of research and trial and error, he developed strategies that flipped the script. Slowly but surely, he reduced his balances, broke free from the cycle of high-interest debt, and took back control of his finances. Friends and family facing the same struggles came to him for help. Even his daughter, a registered nurse who faced her own financial hardships, found relief by applying the very methods Robert had created.
Out of this experience, Robert built the Offset strategy—a program designed to give everyday Americans the tools to fight back. He discovered how even small fees and charges could sabotage people for years, and he set out to dismantle the tactics that card companies use to keep people trapped.
Robert’s program found that even paying just $8 in fees or interest triggers a bad look from the creditors, and stuffs crap into ppl’s balance that keeps them paying for years.
With this new outlook, Robert’s team at TrueHelp US now has the safest and desirable method for eliminating balances… even millionaires and corporations look for his consult.
That mission became TrueHelp US. For Robert, this is more than a business—it’s a promise. A promise that no one should face the crushing weight of debt alone, and that with the right tools, financial freedom is not only possible, it’s within reach.
